Tirta Ayu Restaurant, the most favorite restaurant in Tirtagangga, Karangasem, East Bali, is popular for either small or large groups. Parties of 4 to 80 seats can be catered inside the restaurant itself and our outdoor area can accommodate until 150 guests.

Tirta Ayu Restaurant proudly introduces the richness of Balinese, Indonesian and Western culinary. One of our most loved dishes is Megibung. Megibung is derived from the communal way of eating. Traditionally, Balinese enjoyed eating together off one large plate or banana leaf at ceremonies or during preparation for ceremonies. People would sit cross-legged around it helping themselves with their right hand and scooping a mixture of food onto a banana leaf or eating it straight off the main plate. In East Bali, the Karangasem Regency, people still practice the megibung style of eating at ceremony times. It is a very intimate and social way of sharing food. Our Megibung, with combination of rice, minced fish sate, vegetable  urab, spicy prawn, grilled  chicken, palem udang, pepes ikan , and beef rendang, is served on a dulang plate style with banana leaf decoration. The combination of platter can be modified into vegetarian or other options.

Tirta Ayu Restaurant commits to provide fresh ingredients without adding MSG for the taste. Hygiene and cleanliness are also our consideration to ensure our customers have the best service.
